 A meditation
« Thread Started on Oct 29, 2009, 4:43am »

Had a very cool experience while meditating tonight, taken from my blog. Decided to post here maybe someone else will see something in it I dot. I think it had a lot of aspects of myself in it as well as my ego.

~~~
After a few minutes of me calling on my higher self I found myself in a place. It looked like somewhere in Asia, around me was a small creek where you could hear the water running down rocks. To my left was a man that had a shaved head, he was making a stone garden. I said hello but he didn't acknowledge me so i went on. I walked down a small stone path, I was barefoot. As I walked down the path that happened to take me down a small hill I noticed rice patties all to my right, as far as you could see. A old women was working the field a few feet from me. She looked up at me and smiled.
I turned to my left which was a field and started to walk into it. As I was walking my attention immediately turned to someone standing by a tree. It was my higher-self he or me? looked a like me just a little older. He called my name "Joe" and then He simply said "your journey will be long" and it kind of echoed.
(For those who haven't read some of my first posts, a odd blue colored humanoid came to me in meditation a bit after I awakened and told me that exact same thing when i asked what my purpose was.)
I then asked what my purpose was, im not sure why I asked that it just came out and he simply pointed to his heart. He then vanished...
I ended up walking through some woods for a minute or so, kind of in a jog, trying to see if my higher-self was still around but he wasn't. I noticed a small green snake over on a tree. I returned to the field and walked back to the small stone path. The old lady looked back up at me smiling again. I then asked her "what is the path to happiness?"
(Again not sure why I asked that at this point I was just kind of going with the flow)
She stopped working for a second, and then spoke "The path to happiness is the one you take" which kind of puzzled me. I walked into the field with her almost wanting to help her with the work since she looked tired. Then I realized I had no idea what to do and would probably do more harm.
I said goodbye and returned back the way I came up the small hill. When i got to the top again I looked out over the land and really felt at peace there, it was very beautiful. I walked over to the creek and just washed my face in the water. There were some women further down the creek and one reminded me of my past life love.
I was going to approach her when suddenly the scenery changed. I was in like a tent but not a modern tent. There was a large fire and the place was hot. (sweat lodge?) Sitting across from me was a man, but I couldn't make out his face through the fire he felt very negative, perhaps my ego. After about 30 seconds of us both sitting there he kind of jumped through the fire and started to choke me. (Why didn't he start to burn from the fire? lol) Then he just stopped and returned to his sitting position.
Then I had a vision of a eye, it was a fiery eye, just the iris of the eye, kind of creepy looking. After that short vision two other people were now sitting on my left and right, we were all facing the fire. To my left was my spirit guide Gukumatz to my right was my higher self again. We all just sat there for a few seconds then I came out of the meditation.
I felt very relaxed from this meditation and believe I will be returning to this place very soon in other meditations.
Aiden thanks for sharing, reminded me of several meditations I've had in the past.
I had a blue being visitation about 3 years ago, it was very special. I don't meditate anymore, not in the "i'm going to proactively sit and meditate now" sense at least. I've kind of let the rigid structure fall away from my spirituality. For me it works. But your story brought up warm memories which I am grateful for.
;D
I know what you mean Dee, meditation really has nothing to do with spirituality at all, its just a way to help focus more on things. Focused thought is simply what meditation is.
When I meditate I don't go around chanting mantras or anything :D
not that theirs anything wrong with that though............. :exactly:
I really like to meditate though, its just a chance to slow down... life moves so fast that you can just take a breather and really look at things from a new perspective. I think if more people just did some basic meditation a lot of problems would be gone in this world. 10 minutes of meditation can take a away a lot of stress :)
Thanks for shareing!
And I agree about the meditation being a chance to slow down. Especially when you listen to your favorite type of relaxing music...just in your own world...literally!
